SCORES of would-be sailors took to the channel in glorious sunshine on Sunday as part of a Trysail event at Sugar Loaf Bay.
Portishead Yacht and Sailing Club invited visitors of all ages to try out sailing and many jumped at the chance of heading out to sea in the hands of experienced volunteers.
A club spokesman said: “Sailing is often thought of as a rich man’s sport, but it isn’t and our annual Trysail event allows people to discover that and find out more about the hobby. This annual event proves very popular and let’s everyone have a go completely free of charge.”
