HOMEMADE cakes and cookies went down a treat at a coffee morning organised to raise money for the Salvation Army.
Parents and carers at St Peter’s Primary School in Portishead held the event to help the organisation and also to provide an opportunity for parents to get to know each other.
School association chairman Charlotte Candow said: “This is just one of many fund-raising events we organise during the year to help charities and community groups. We also organise activities that raise funds for school.”
The Salvation Army provides a wide range of social services including help for homeless people.
