A NEW Friday evening football project will be launched in Portishead this summer.
PSCO Dawn Tremlett has teamed up with Gordano School Community Trust Sports Centre to organise the scheme.
The popularity of a lunchtime league organised by members of the school youth watch team prompted the decision to start a new Friday night club.
The project is aimed at giving youngsters a chance to play structured football g on the new artificial grass playing surface at Gordano School.
It will be overseen by young adults from the community who will referee the games and organise matches.
The activity is aimed at 12-16-year-olds and will cost 5 per team to register and 1 per person to play.
To sign up for the league, youngsters can contact Dawn Tremlett by emailing dtremlett@gordano.n-somerset.sch.uk
