A GROUP of six Portishead gymnasts were given the opportunity to train with 2006 World Champion Vanessa Ferrari in Italy this summer.
The girls, all members of the Portishead Gym Academy in Harbour Road, jumped at the opportunity to train with the world’s best in Italy.
They flew to Verona for a five-day camp at Miss Ferrari’s training centre in Brescia.
On arrival at the Italian gym, they had the added bonus of training with 2007 European vault champion and Beijing Olympic vault finalist Carlotta Giovannini.
