ONE of Redcliffe Bay’s newest girl guides chose Black Nore Lighthouse in Portishead as the location to take her guide promise.
A windswept walk for 3rd Redcliffe Bay Guides saw 11-year-old Ella Kirk’s wish granted, making it a memorable occasion for the pack. Following Ella’s promise, adult leader Samantha Herbert, aged 18, took her leader’s promise at the landmark.
Samantha then gave the guides a demonstration on board the Portishead and Bristol Lifeboat at the boathouse at Sugarloaf Bay, where she is one of the youngest crew members.
