PUPILS at St Peter’s School in Portishead showed off their tennis skills in taster sessions run by Clevedon Lawn Tennis Club.
Children in years one to four were put through their paces in a warm-up drill to test their agility, balance and coordination, before trying out their tennis skills in short games.
The sessions were led by Paul Maggs and Mike Greedy from the club. Paul said: “The children showed a lot of promise and we were particularly impressed by the enthusiasm they demonstrated. As a result of the sessions, we now have a number of children who are keen to continue playing tennis at the club.”
