PUPILS at St Peter’s Primary School spelt their way to success at this year’s Spelling Bee contest.
Teams of two were invited to take part in the competition which involved schools from across North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bristol.
The final, held at Fairfied School in Backwell, saw 24 teams taking part.
St Peter’s entered two teams and both were placed in the top three. Jack and Thomas took first place and Tommy and Matthew came joint third. Teams from Grove Junior School came second and also took the joint third place.
The winners each received a dictionary and were treated to cake and drinks afterwards.
