PUPILS at Gordano School are busy preparing for an autumn production of Bugsy Malone.
The Portishead school will turn the clocks back, as pupils immerse themselves in the gangland warfare of 1929 New York.
The comedy drama will see the victims of splurge guns fall foul to silly string and cream pies, before the gangsters and molls decide the rival gangs might be better off working together.
More than 150 students across all year groups are involved in the production. In addition to the cast, pupils are helping with the lighting, sound, costumes, make-up and music.
Public performances will take place at the school in St Mary’s Road from 7pm on November 8-10. Tickets will be available on the door at a cost of 5 for adults and 3 children/concessions.
