A PORTISHEAD teacher has retired after 31 years of teaching at Gordano School.
Angela Smith, who has been head of Fitzroy House at the school or the past nine years, taught PE and citizenship.
Headteacher Gary Lewis paid tribute to Mrs Smith, he said: “Angela has given more than 30 years service to Gordano School and is known for her kindness, as much as her skills as a pastoral leader. A generation of young people in Portishead will have benefited from her support and guidance and we all wish her an exciting and fulfilling retirement.”
