NURSERY children at Trinity Primary School in Portishead got their first taste of balancing bikes during a Balanceability workshop.
Steve Fox, who runs Fox Cycling, introduced the youngsters to bikes without pedals which are ideal for developing balance, confidence and co-ordination for two to six-year-olds.
Teacher Karen Twyford said: “This was a great fun learning experience for all the children who took part, focusing on gross motor skills including balance, co-ordination, agility, core strength and flexibility.”
A Balanceability programme currently runs at Parish Wharf Leisure Centre in Portishead.
