HUNDREDS of students were introduced to the world of work and further education at a Portishead careers convention.
Pupils and parents filled the aisles at Gordano School’s annual careers event where more than 40 universities, businesses and training providers were on hand to help guide youngsters looking at future opportunities.
Careers coordinator Debbie Crosby said: “The need for this type of event is more important than ever given the tremendous challenges currently facing students in selecting their future career paths.
“I think this year’s convention will be remembered for the sheer diversity of businesses that attended.”
Many employers have forged links with the school and are already included in the planning of next year’s event. Businesses interested in participating can contact Debbie on 01275 842606.
