CHILDREN at a Portishead preschool were amazed at how tall their sunflower had grown during the school summer holidays.
Earlier in the year three-year-old Ben had taken a small sunflower plant to Brampton Preschool to plant in the school garden.
He and his friends tended the plant and watched it grow in to a hardy plant before breaking up for the summer holidays.
Supervisor Rose Skuse said: “When the children returned earlier this month they were delighted to see that Ben’s sunflower had grown taller than the preschool building. They are very excited about it.”
