STUDENTS at Gordano School drew inspiration from acclaimed author Alex Scarrow when he dropped into the Portishead school to lead a writer’s workshop.
The British author, whose books include A Thousand Suns, Last Light, Afterlight, October Skies and the science fiction series Time Riders, gave the students an inside view of the methods he uses to craft his stories, before encouraging them to create and generate their own ideas.
After the workshop, year seven and eight students were given the opportunity to talk to the author and get their copies of Time Riders signed.
