STUDENTS at Gordano School in Portishead have been investigating crime and anti-social behaviour.
Year nine students involved in a Crimestoppers project have been working in groups, challenging their preconceptions about crime, criminals and the justice system.
Experts including Avon and Somerset police’s sector inspector Steve Date, local magistrates and PCSO Dawn Tremlett, who is based at the school, have been involved in the project which has encouraged the students to research particular aspects of crime, make reports and give presentations.
