DANCERS have raised £1,400 for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
Portishead LeRoc, a modern jive class, attracted more than 200 dancers from across the South West to the charity event which featured the 14-piece band Bring Down the House.
Dance teacher and organiser of the event, Heather Parsons said: “This dance is one of the highlights of our year and we are delighted to have raised so much money for the charity. The band was brilliant as always and we are grateful for its continued support. This is the fifth year Bring the House Down has given its time free of charge for the annual event.”
Portishead LeRoc and its supporters have raised £8,612 for CHSW, which runs Charlton Farm in Wraxall, since 2006.
