ST PETER’S Church in Portishead has been transformed into a multi-sensory space for this year’s Star Trail.
From today (Wed) until December 5 visitors to the Church Road North site will be able to enjoy a voyage of discovery with the re-enactment of the journey of the wise men from Egypt to Bethlehem to bear witness to the birth of Jesus.
All but two of the sessions of this Christmas Story event are reserved for school visits but the general public can visit on Thursday from 6.00pm (last entry at 7.30 pm) and Saturday from 10am (last entry at 11.30am).
Church member Diane Bridgwater said: “Star Trail has already become a real community event on more than one level, with a growing number of visitors from the town and people from both St Nicholas’ and St Peter’s churches helping to set up the trail, baking star cookies and lending or finding resources.”
This is the third year the Star Trail has been organised at St Peter’s Church.
