A PORTISHEAD salon has picked up a prestigious award for its training skills.
Tonic Hair and Beauty House was named Hairdresser Apprentice Employer of the Year 2011 at an awards ceremony held by the City of Bristol College.
The college has more than 1,500 apprenticeship students enrolled and the annual prize-giving event recognises the hard work of both the apprentices and their employers.
Simone Counsell, who co-owners Tonic with her sister Nadine, said: “We are over the moon to be recognised for the support we give our apprentices, it’s something we are very dedicated to.”
