PORTISHEAD’S newest restaurant has opened in the centre of the town’s High Street.
The Bristol-based restaurant group, Loungers, opened Impero Lounge at 60 High Street with the help of the volunteer crew members from the Portishead and Bristol Lifeboat.
To celebrate the opening, Loungers is donating 50p from every burger and 10p from every coffee sold at the venue during March. Loungers has transformed the former Budgens unit into a cosy, retro-style café bar.
Operations manager Jeremy Burton-Dickie, said: “We realise the lifeboat trust is a huge part of the community so we thought it was important to actively fundraise for this voluntary charity.
“Portishead residents and locals can tuck into a delicious burger or enjoy an excellent coffee safe in the knowledge they’re doing something good at the same time.”
Impero Lounge is open everyday from 9am-11pm and provides an extensive menu which includes all-day brunches, authentic tapas and a range of main meals. Lifeboat trust chairman, John Gittings, said: “We are delighted Loungers has chosen to support us as they celebrate the opening of Impero Lounge in Portishead.”
