BROWNIES and guides from across North Somerset took part in an English tradition that stretches back over 500 years.
A barn dance, which was organised as part of the Portishead festival week programme, provided the youngsters with the chance to learn the art of country dancing to a live band.
Organiser Jill Elliott said: βIn this high tech era it was wonderful to see so many young people enjoying the simple pleasure of country dancing and live musicians.β
