GREEN-FINGERED enthusiasts will be showing off months of hard work during Portishead Open Gardens event this weekend.
Hundreds of visitors are expected to view the 15 gardens open to the public on Saturday and Sunday.
In addition to the flowers, plants, fruit and vegetables on display there will be plenty of opportunities to indulge in refreshments throughout the weekend, with many gardens offering teas, homemade cakes and light lunches.
The weekend programme is packed with a variety of activities at the open gardens, ranging from charity plant and book sales to art and craft exhibitions and live jazz.
