A PORTISHEAD-BASED charity was supported by members of Soroptomist Intermational of Bristol during celebrations for International Literacy Day.
The women’s organisation donated hundreds of books to the Za Foundation, which has a base in the town’s High Street.
The books will be sent them to Nkomazi in South Africa, where the foundation is constructing a library as part of a project to encourage children to read.
The Za Foundation has been established to help support the needs of a generation of vulnerable and orphaned children and young people in South Africa.
