A COFFEE bar manager has been appointed at Portishead Youth Centre, marking the beginning of big changes for the caf� facility in the Harbour Road building.
Anne Skinner has accepted the role to expand the coffee bar facility, turning it into a community caf� that will be open to members of the public from 9am-6.30pm.
Anne, a former care worker, said: “I really want to make this a facility everyone can enjoy. I hope to organise a senior citizens’ lunch club and introduce a juice and shake bar for the youngsters to enjoy after school.”
Anne also wants to promote life skills courses and make sure everyone in the community is catered for.
Throughout December the new hours will be trialled on Wednesdays and Thursdays. From January 3 the caf� will be open to the public Monday to Friday between 9am-6.30pm. For more details call 01275 842461.
