A PIZZA designed by a schoolgirl has gone on the menu at her local Italian restaurant.
Elyssa Taylor, a 10-year-old pupil from St Peter’s Primary School, Portishead, came up with the P-party P-pizza as part of the school’s year five food challenge project.
Students attended Antonio’s Trattoria Pizzeria and were then set the task of designing their own topping and come up with a name for it.
The winning pizza was chosen by restaurant owner Antonio Scarpati who has run the High Street Trattoria for more than 20 years. Elyssa’s creation, which included ham, pepperoni, peppers, sweetcorn and cheese, was then added to the menu as a guest pizza.
Elyssa said: “It was interesting watching the pizzas being made but even more fun creating our own. The best part was eating it though.”
