PORTISHEAD Players conclude their 90th anniversary season with the murder mystery play And Evermore Shall Be So by Norman Robbins.
Taking its title from the traditional song Green Grow the Rushes O, the play, with more than a touch of humour, explores events surrounding a murder which took place four years previously.
The action centres around the vicarage into which the Reverend Edwin Summerfield and his wife Lydia have recently moved. An author, cousin of the vicar’s wife, arrives having been encouraged to write a book about the murder.
Old tensions and suspicions are brought to the surface and not everyone is in favour of raking up the past.
Directed by Janet Astley, And Evermore Shall Be So is being performed at Somerset Hall, in High Street from April 25-27 at 7.30pm.
Tickets, priced £7-8, are available from Morgan-Westley and Mother Nature both in High Street. or online at www.portishead-players.org.uk

Group rates with eight tickets for the price of seven are available for all performances. To reserve seats for group bookings after purchasing tickets contact Lynda Sloane on 07787 992942.
