WIN: Tickets to see Kate Dimbleby at Theatre Shop
PUBLISHED: 18:00 24 May 2019
An evening involving live music, entertainment and an ironing board awaits audiences in Clevedon.
From off-Broadway to Curry Mallet Village Hall, Kate Dimbleby takes her one-woman show on the road across the world.
Her new Sing Happy show, created with Paddington's Cal McCrystal, is a show to behold and is designed to have the audience singing and laughing along.
Kate weaves classic popular songs from the past 60 years with stories about the human voice, incorporating mesmerising layered vocals from her own critically-acclaimed album Songbirds.
Using a looper sitting on an ironing board, Kate reinvents this show for each performance with her audience.
Dimbleby said: "Sing Happy is a true story about how I found my many voices - and listened - to connect with others and sing myself happy.
"It has songs you know and song you don't. Each show is a bit different and is inspired by the audience."
Dimbleby has released six albums and has sold out Festival Hall.
She has also toured internationally at arts and music festivals and appears regularly on national radio.
Her sixth solo album, Songbirds, was released by Folkstock records in February 2017 and is a unique collection of self-penned a capella soul songs.
Sing Happy will be at the Theatre Shop, in Queens Square, on June 7 at 7.30pm.
Tickets, priced £12, are available at www.theatreshop.org.uk or call 03336 663366
