X-Men: First Class

THE latest creation in the X-Men movie franchise, X-Men: First Class (12A), will be shown in Clevedon from Friday.

The prequel to the previously-released X-Men films, brings together the epic scale and action of a summer blockbuster with a character-driven story that unveils the beginning of the X-Men saga - and a secret history of the Cold War and the world at the bring of nuclear Armageddon.

As the first class discovers, harnesses and comes to term with formidable powers, alliances are formed that will shape the eternal war between the heroes and villains of the X-Men universe - Magneto’s Brotherhood and Xavier’s X-Men.

Like all great X-Men stories, X-Men: First Class take on ambitious themes and issues while offering a rich and personal look at an unusual superhero team.

Starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne and Kevin Bacon, the film is directed by Matthew Vaughan.

The film will be shown at The Curzon Community Cinema in Old Church Road from Friday until June 23.
