One of Hollywood’s most successful and visually stunning franchises returns to the big screen this week.

Clevedon’s Curzon cinema, in Old Church Road, will show Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (12) from Friday to June 19.

Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) return for this blockbuster sequel to 2015’s Jurassic World.

The island’s dormant volcano suddenly bursts into life, leaving the duo to try and rescue the remaining dinosaurs or risk losing them forever.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the film also sees Jeff Goldblum and BD Wong reprise their roles.

Although Jurassic World dominates the Curzon’s schedule this week, film-lovers looking for something different have the choice of two very different features tomorrow (Thursday).

Edie (12A) is the story of an 83-year-old woman who climbs Mount Suilven in Scotland in an attempt to rekindle memories of her childhood.

For something more action-packed, Solo: A Star Wars Story (12A) is the perfect choice.

The film charts the life of Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) before his starring role in the original Star Wars trilogy.

When the talented pilot gets involved with a dangerous group of thieves, he meets Lando Calrissian years before joining the Rebellion and becomes friends with future co-pilot Chewbacca.
