THE man known as the ‘voice of golf’ is bringing his behind-the-scenes tales and good humour for an evening of entertainment in Weston next month.

Commentator golfer Peter Alliss has been broadcasting on the BBC’s coverage of the sport since 1961 and will bring a wealth of anecdotes, stories and reminisces – as well as a chance to quiz the man himself – so this is a show not to be missed for all golf fans.

A former professional golfer, as well as a course designer and author, there are few with a better knowledge of the sport – he has been referred to as ‘the greatest commentator ever’ by Golf Digest, while in 2012 he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in the Lifetime Achievement category.

His one-man show will be at The Playhouse on February 22, with the show starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £22, are available from the box office on 01934 645544 or via www.theplayhouse.co.uk
