Dreamboats And Petticoats The Musical will captivate the crowds when it returns to the city.

Emotions are running high in 1961, as young musicians Norman and Bobby compete to win a national song-writing competition and, more importantly, the attention of the gorgeous Sue.

But when Bobby discovers shy Laura is no slouch on the piano, love and rock ‘n’ roll fame beckons.

Inspired by the smash hit multi-million-selling albums Dreamboats And Petticoats one to five, the West End sell-out sensation features some of the greatest songs of the rock ‘n’ roll era.

Let’s Dance, To Know Him Is To Love Him, Shaking All Over and Bobby’s Girl are just a few of the fabulous tunes to get your hips swaying and your toes tapping.

The musical is written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, who have also worked together on classics including Goodnight Sweetheart, The New Statesmen and Birds Of A Feather.

The show, which was nominated for an Olivier Award, features classic tracks from Roy Orbison, The Shadows, Eddie Cochran, Billy Fury, and many more.

Dreamboats And Petticoats will be at the Bristol Hippodrome at 7.30pm from July 24-29. There will also be a 2.30pm matinee on July 26 and July 29.

Tickets, priced £17.90-41.40, are available from 08448 713012 or online via www.atgtickets.com
* The Times has teamed up with the Hippodrome to offer two lucky readers a pair of tickets to the show’s opening night on July 24.
