Timeless story gets a stage makeover

A PRODUCTION of Daphne de Maurier’s novel Rebecca is visiting the Theatre Royal Bath this week.

The timeless story, turned into an Oscar-winning film by Alfred Hitchcock, has been turned into a thrilling stage production complete with 
Cornish romance and 
theatrical magic.

Following the mysterious death of his first wife, Maxim de Winter returns to Manderley with his new young bride.

But surrounded by memories of the glamorous Rebecca, the new Mrs de Winter is consumed by jealousy.

But as she sets to uncover the secrets of the house, she discovers not all is as it seems.

Rebecca is presented by David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers, the multi-award-winning producers of Art, Brief Encounter, God of Carnage and Calendar Girls

It will be performed at the Theatre Royal Bath at 8pm from tomorrow (Thursday) to Saturday.

There will also be a matinee performance at 2.30pm on Saturday.
