THE tale of Widow Peabody and her strange shaped abode will be told in Failand Drama Circle’s latest pantomime.

There was an Old Woman will be performed at the village hall in Ox House Lane from Tuesday until November 30.

Based on the nursery rhyme of the same name, the show will feature romance, songs and comedy for audiences of all ages.

Who will come to Widow Peabody’s rescue when the evil Braron Grabbit tries to steal her home? Will her daughter find love with a handsome stranger? And, will the Baron’s henchmen ever make anything of themselves?

Shows will start at 7.30pm and there will be a 2.30pm matinee on November 30.

Tickets, priced £5-10, can be booked on 01275 393302. All tickets for Tuesday’s preview night are £5.
