Simon’s gender-flipped Odd Couple comes to Playhouse in May

The Backwell Playhouse Theatre Company will perform Neil Simon’s contemporary female version of The Odd Couple next month.

The Odd Couple (Female Version), tells the story of the tempestuous relationship between unlikely friends Olive Madison and Florence Unger,

While hosting a weekly game of Trivial Pursuit untidy slob Olive, discovers Florence’s husband is filling for divorce.

Wanting to help out her friend, Olive invites the neurotic and highly strung Florence to move in with her.

Their friendship is soon tested by this match-made-in-hell with disastrous but hysterical results.

The Odd Couple will be performed at Backwell playhouse, in Mariners Drive, from May 23-25 at 7.30pm, and May 25 at 2.30pm.
