A NEW performance of David Hare’s The Absence Of War is coming to the Bristol Old Vic next month.

The show, running from March 10-14 at 7.30pm with a Thursday and Saturday 2.30pm matinee, focuses on George Jones, the heavy-smoking leader of the Labour Party opposition who is desperate to reach Number 10. He has three weeks to convince the British public he’s their man, and along the way must conquer his own demons and back bench mumbles.

Reece Dinsdale plays the lead role of Mr Jones.

Tickets, priced £10-27.50, are available from the box office on 01179 877877 or via www.bristololdvic.org.uk
