Families have the chance to go on a bear hunt during a fun-filled adaptation of Michael Rosen’s award-winning book at The Playhouse.

The much-loved story We’re Going On A Bear Hunt is being brought vividly and noisily to the stage next month in director Sally Cookson’s adaptation.

The theatrical adventure has been a West End hit. It has toured around the world and is now set to take North Somerset by storm.

Audiences can join an intrepid family of adventurers and their musical dog on their quest to find a bear.

They will wade through gigantic swishy-swashy grass, the splishy-splashy river and the thick, oozy squelchy mud in search of the big bear.

Expect catchy songs, interactive schemes and plenty of hands-on fun in this adventure.

Benji Bower, who has composed music for the National Theatre and numerous films and TV shows, wrote the score.

We’re Going On A Bear Hunt, published in 1989, is author Michael Rosen’s biggest success, and has sold millions of copies and been turned into a film.

We’re Going On A Bear Hunt will be at The Playhouse, in Weston High Street, for a two day run.

The shows will be on March 10 at 1.30pm and 4.30pm, and the following day at 10.30am and again at 1.30pm.

Tickets, priced £13, are available on 01934 645544 or
