LESLEY Garrett will star in one of three shows from the Welsh National Opera (WNO) in April.

WNO will be putting on Hansel And Gretel, The Magic Flute and Chorus at the Bristol Hippodrome.

Soprano Lesley Garrett will star in a new version of Chorus.

It is a journey through a rich repertoire of choral music, with a chance to experience some of opera’s best-loved moments.

Mozart’s opera The Magic Flute features an angry lobster, a newspaper-reading lion and a fish which transforms into a bicycle.

And the revival of Humperdinck’s Hansel And Gretel is a dark re-telling of a well-known fairytale.

The Welsh National Opera will be taking its shows to the Hippodrome on April 8-11 at 7.15pm.

Tickets, priced £11.40-44.90, are available from the box office on www.atgtickets.com/venues/bristol-hippodrome
