New Bath play is a RIOT!

RIOT, a new play by Ursula Rani Sarma, receives its European premiere at Bath’s egg theatre.

Performed by members of the Theatre Royal Bath’s Young People’s Theatre and adults from the Theatre’s ENGAGE programme, the play follows the lives of eight young people in a psychiatric institution and explores the challenges experienced by young people facing circumstances beyond their control.

One night Max can take it no more, he snaps. Following an act of unexpected violence, he ends up in a psychiatric institution for young adults. Was his explosive outburst the symptom of a mental disorder or a passionate act of love?

RIOT runs in the egg theatre at the Theatre Royal Bath from Thursday until Sunday.
