Murder mystery fun

PERIOD drama and the fun of an Agatha Christie murder mystery can be enjoyed by theatre audiences in Portishead next month.
The next production to be put on by Portishead Players will be The Hollow - based on the book of the same name.
The home of Sir Henry and Lucy Angkatell is the setting for a weekend country house party where Dr John Cristow is murdered within 24 hours of his arrival. With all other attendees having a motive, it’s down to Inspector Colquhoun to solve the crime.
Portishead Players Director Colin Astley said: “Almost without exception, new audience members say they wish they had taken time before to see our performances.
“People are amazed at how we transform the stage at the Somerset Hall and by the professionalism of our actors.
“We urge the town to support us in our efforts by watching our shows.”
Performances will be held at Somerset Hall at 7.30pm on April 16-18, with a matinee at 2pm on the Saturday.
Tickets, priced £7-10, are available online at www.portisheadplayers.ticketsource.co.uk and from Morgan Westley and Mother Nature in High Street or on the door subject to availability.
