It is not long until the school holidays begin, but the Bristol Hippodrome will have a pre-summer break treat for children next month.

Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom has been a television favourite with preschool children for many years and it has now been reinvented for the live stage to please young theatre-goers.

The show is BAFTA Award-winning, and the stage production will follow Holly, a young fairy princess, who is learning how to fly and how to control her magic.

She is accompanied by her best friend Ben the elf, who makes up for his lack of wings and magic with his speed.

Joined by a cast of the shows main characters, including Nanny Plum, Gaston the ladybird and Lucy.

With their friends in tow, Ben and Holly explore the Little Kingdom, a land where flowers and grass rise high above them and every day is an adventure.

The show is an exciting opportunity to introduce youngsters to the wonderful world of theatre and gives them a chance to see their silver-screen friends come to life before their very eyes.

Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom Overview will be at the Bristol Hippodrome from July 12-13.

There will be performances at 1pm both days as well as a 4.30pm show on July 12 and a 10am show on July 13.
