Weston’s Playhouse was packed out on Tuesday as theatregoers flocked to see the venue’s latest offering – Dirty Dusting.
Crissy Rock, from ITV’s Benidorm, stars as Elsie – one of three cleaning ladies who come up with a novel way to earn a bit of cash.
Fellow cleaners Gladys and Olive – played by Leah Bell Dolores Porretta – learn they are being made redundant from their miserly boss who constantly mocks their age and criticises their work.
So when a man mistakenly calls the office looking for ‘luscious Lucy’ from a sex chat line, the women decide to get their revenge by starting their own raunchy phone service at work.
The show is full of hilarious innuendos and antics – made all the more funny as two of the women were former girl guides.
Gladys became so aroused by the telephone calls on one night, her husband ended up in hospital – a tale which astounded her friends when she relayed the previous evening’s events.
The audience was roaring with laughter throughout, especially when the cast emerged on stage in their rather daring costumes.
The show is fantastic fun and audiences can expect a night of cheesy jokes and raucous laughter.
