Actors from Nailsea are performing a play based on three popular TV sitcoms.

Nailsea Little Theatre are busy preparing for their October show which is based on three TV classics – Hi-de-Hi, Dad’s Army and The Vicar Of Dibley.

Three Cheers for Sitcom will feature an evening of original episodes from the comedies devised and written by director Andy Marchant.

Andy will be holding a launch night for the show on March 29 at the theatre in Union Street from 7.45pm and anyone interested in taking part in the show is welcome to go along.

He said: “We all love these sitcoms and the characters in them.

“They’ve become part of our lives over the years.

”I’ve taken the characters and written new pieces for them which hopefully will be as much fun as the originals.

”Now I’m getting down to cast the show and would love to see people who think they might like a part at the Little Theatre on the launch evening.”
