Award-winning western film, The Sisters Brothers, will be shown next week.

The film stars John C Reilly, known for his role in 2008 film Step Brothers, and Joaquin Phoenix, who plays Joker in the psychological thriller of the same name.

The Sisters Brothers is set in the American West in 1851, and brothers Eli and Charlie Sisters are gunfighters hired to kill a man, which sends them on a deadly adventure that tests their family ties.

The film also features actor Jake Gyllenhaal, famous for his role in The Day After Tomorrow.

Director Jacques Audiard won a Silver Lion Award for best director of The Sisters Brothers, and the film won an César accolade for best cinematography.

Sisters Brothers will be screened at Long Ashton Cinema, in Keedwell Hill, on November 16 at 8pm.
