Open air film screenings will take place in Clevedon and Portishead at the start of September.

The Curzon has announced plans to show three big films in the great outdoors to give film-lovers a different experience.

The Greatest Showman, Mamma Mia 2! Here We Go Again and Jaws will be shown from September 6-8.

The first and final showings will take place at the Salthouse Fields, with the ABBA hit set for Portishead Lido.

Tickets for the Mamma Mia! show however sold out very quickly.

Open air pool spokesman Barbara Thatcher said: “We expected the event to be popular, but we were amazed to sell out so quickly.

“We are sorry if people were disappointed to miss out, but if things go well on the night, we will definitely be doing this again next year.”

Tickets, priced £8-10, for The Greatest Showman and Jaws can be bought through the Curzon.
