Portishead Film group will be starting their new season of screenings with Stan and Ollie.

The show will be screened at the Jubilee Hall, in Slade Road, next week.

Stan and Ollie, released in 2018, focuses around the lives of the English comedy duo Stan Laurel And Oliver Hardy's relationship as they embark on a difficult music tour in Great Britain and Ireland in 1953 whilst struggling to get another film made as their days of being the kings of Hollywood comedy are behind them.

They are faced with challenges which test their relationship and they are both aware, but they try to rediscover just how much they mean to each other.

Stan and Ollie will be screened on October 11 at Portishead's Jubilee Hall.

Refreshments will be available 30 minutes before the showing begins, from 8pm.

Tickets, priced £5, can be purchased at the door.
