A NEW British comedy with an all-star cast will be shown in Clevedon from Friday.

Chalet Girl (12A) features Felicity Jones, Ed Westwick, Tamsin Egerton, Bill Bailey, Brooke Shields and Bill Nighy.

The film follows Kim, a 19-year-old ex-skateboarder working who finds herself working as a chalet girl in a glam ski resort to earn some extra cash.

She cannot ski and she does not understand the posh world she is in but when she finds an old snowboard and discovers she still has her boarding skills.

She begins to ctach the attention of the handsome Jonny (Ed Westwick) who is one of her bosses.

Can she overcome the odd, and herself, to become a champion snowboarder and claim her man?

Described as an ice cool comedy packed with laughter, romance and impressive snowboarding, Chalet Girl will be shown at The Curzon Community Cinema from Friday until April 14.

* As many children will be enjoying the school Easter holidays next week, the Curzon will also be showing the animated adventure, Gnomeo and Juliet (U) from Friday until April 14.

In the film, featuring the voices of James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Matt Lucas and Maggie Smith, the greatest love story is brought to a garden near you.

The hats are off as the star-crossed lovers and their colourful companions come to life as gnomes in a hilarious family adventure. An epic tale on a tiny scale.
