THE biggest stars of the silent comedy era will be shown at The Curzon Community Cinema on Saturday.

An Afternoon of Slapstick (PG) is a programme of four short comedy films, all with a live musical accompaniment.

The show is the tour from Bristol’s Slapstick Festival and will feature classic comedies from Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd and Laurel and Hardy.

Each will be accompanied by silent film maestro Stephen Horne on live piano and the afternoon will be hosted by Chris Daniels, director of the Slapstick Festival.

The film will be shown at 2.30pm at the Clevedon cinema.

Prior to this, the new exhibition areas at the Curzon will be open for free from 12noon-2pm.
