Classical stars Rhydian and Lucy Kay have teamed up for a tour of the UK.
Platinum-selling Welsh singer Rhydian is renowned for his powerhouse vocals, and shot to fame after coming second in ITV’S X Factor competition in 2007 and winning a recording contract from Simon Cowell.
Since then he has released five albums and his album One Day Like This enjoyed 10 weeks a number one in the Official Classical Album Charts.
He will be joined on stage by Lucy Kay, who came second on last year’s Britain’s Got Talent. Her debut album, Fantasia, also achieved number one in the Classical Album Charts.
The show will also include exclusive performances from Rhydian’s new album, due to be released later this year.
The two stars will be performing at Weston’s Playhouse tomorrow (Thursday) and the show will begin at 7.30pm.
Opening the show will be Miel De Botton, who will perform songs from her new album, Magnetic, a collection of re-interpreted French songs from the likes of Jacques Brel and Edith Piaf as well as her own material.
Tickets, priced £29.50, are available from the theatre’s box office on 01934 645544 or online at www.theplayhouse.co.uk
