Pill’s annual music festival will get underway on Saturday, kicking off a week of performances and workshops around the village.

The entertainment will begin with a choral concert at Christ Church in at 2pm on Saturday, when Pill Community Choir will perform alongside Singing Ladies, Whispering Pauline and Portishead Choral Society.

Later that evening at 6pm in the church the focus will turn to skiffle and song from Willbees, Thornbridge and Sko-Sha Skiffle.

The festival will then move on to The Star Inn in Bank Place at 9pm when visitors can take part in an open microphone session.

This week’s activities will come to a close courtesy of jazz and soul band, After Hours, and Pill Festival Band who will both perform at the memorial club in Lodway from 7.15pm.
