A pair of North Somerset musicians will host a Victorian music concert this week in Bristol.

Marcus Evans, a baritone from Portishead, will team up with pianist Richard Lennox at 7.30pm on Friday for a performance at St Monica Trust in Cote Lane.

A collection for the North Somerset branch of Guide Dogs for the Blind will also be held.

Pieces by the likes of Gilbert and Sullivan and Adams and Weatherley will be performed.

Marcus said: “It promises to be an exciting and dramatic evening of music-making from two of the area’s most talented solo performers.

“With songs ranging from the comic to the serious, and romantic to tragic, the wonderful tunes and harmonies from that era will offer something for everyone to enjoy.”

Tickets, priced £12, are available by calling 01275 217495.
