Trio to play at Nailsea Folk Club

A MUSICAL trio will be performing at the Ring ‘o’ Bells pub in Nailsea on Friday.

Nailsea Folk Club presents the Fay Hield Trio, supported by Tim Brine and Sue Franklin, from 8pm at the St Marys Grove watering hole.

Fay found fame with the Witches of Elswick, before taking time out to finish her studies. She is back with a bang accompanied by Ron Harbron on the concertina and Sam Sweeney on the fiddle.

The instrumentation includes fiddles, concertina, nyckelharpa, symphonie and guitar and their music has been described as ‘airy and graceful, full of zest and nuance’.

Tim and Sue are well known musicians from Bristol with a big following in Nailsea and the event promises to draw in quite a crowd. Tickets are £10.
