Trio to perform at Ring O’ Bells

A TRIO will be filling the Ring O’ Bells pub in Nailsea with toe-tapping folk music on March 4.

The Newcastle Fiddler, Tom McConville, acoustic guitarist Dave Newey and bass player Phil Murray will be drawing crowds to the watering hole in St Marys Grove with their fine music and quick wit.

Tom, who was also named the 2009 Radio 2 Folk Musician of the Year, is a virtuoso musician and a fantastic singer whose interpretation of traditional and contemporary songs is greatly admired throughout the world.

His live performances are packed with musical delights from fast rhythmic tunes and beautiful, slow airs to great singing and storytelling.

Dave Newey is a songwriter and singer and is one of the UK’s most in demand acoustic guitarists. He will joining Tom on stage along with Phil Murray, an acoustic bass player of Doonan Family Band and Hedgehog Pie fame.

The trio will be supported by girls choir Las Chicas from Backwell School. The show starts at 8pm and tickets are £10.
